Pathway Business Advisor Becomes WBC Director
Please join Pathway Women’s Business Center in extending a warm welcome to our new director Jarlecia Jones!
No stranger to the Pathway family, Jarlecia joined Pathway Lending in 2019 as a Business Advisor. In her new role, she will lead overall strategy, planning, operations and curriculum in addition to providing hands-on coaching to support the growth and success of WBC client businesses and women-owned businesses in particular.
“Growing up, my parents had a small business, and I truly wish that they had a resource partner like Pathway Lending,” said Jarlecia. “Having witnessed first-hand Pathway WBC’s resources, guidance, and partnership at work with clients, I am ecstatic to take on this role and to partner with business owners in their endeavors,” said Jarlecia.
With a background as a tax adviser and consultant, Jarlecia brings a wealth of business knowledge, strong financial acumen and a passion for helping business leaders hone their financial skills.
“Jarlecia brings invaluable resources to Pathway WBC and its clients and came to the role day one with a strong vision — and like a good adviser, with a solid business plan in hand — for where she wants to take the organization. She has also demonstrated the ability to quickly earn the trust of our clients with her genuine warmth and interest coupled with sharp insights,” said Leslie Hayes, SVP of Education for Pathway Lending.
Jarlecia earned her Master’s in Business Administration and Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Freed-Hardeman University. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as a Tax Associate in Nashville, Tennessee, before working as a Staff Accountant at Guy Brown Office Products.
