Second Annual Be Bold
Now in its 2nd year, Pathway WBC’s Be Bold is an annual event celebrating women’s achievements in business on International Women’s Day. Women and men from across Middle Tennessee are invited to attend this event, which seeks to raise awareness that an equal world is an enabled world. Held at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and hosted by Pathway Women’s Business Center this interactive workshop will encourage attendees to connect with the resources they need to build confidence, grow their businesses, create jobs and impact their communities.

Charelle Lans: From Success to Significance
Charelle Lans, an award-winning author, motivational speaker, strategist and engineer will be sharing her thoughts on how to move beyond success to find significance. Charelle is an experienced Segment Industrial Engineer, published author, and vision strategist who is passionate about empowerment, development, leadership coaching, motivational speaking, and philanthropy. Currently the Founder and Executive Director of Leading with Feet, a non-profit organization aimed at inspiring action through movement and the CEO of Vision Strategy Management, LLC, business aimed at helping individuals and businesses to develop strategic sustainable success through a foundational copy-written approach.
Domonique Townsend: Confidence in the Workplace
Domonique Townsend, the Founder of We Optimize Work (WOW) has over a decade of experience as a Professional Engineer and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Her extensive background in leadership and management has led companies to excel in meeting strategic goals in retention, engagement, cross-functional projects and process optimization on a global scale. Domonique serves on the Women GetIT board as the membership chair and sits on the board of Purpose Preparatory Academy. After connecting her professional expertise with her personal experience in various industries, she excels as a consultant.
Dr. Kendall Park: Negotiation Skills
Dr. Kendall Park teaches Negotiation, Women in Leadership, and Social Enterprise at Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management. Kendall received a PhD in Organizational Sociology from Princeton University, and her research focuses on effective leadership, diversity and inclusion, and social impact. In addition to consulting with corporations, government agencies and NGOs, Kendall leads gender, negotiation, and sustainability workshops for companies and professional groups. Dr. Park will share strategies for women as they build skills in the art of negotiation.
Kia Jarmon: Equality and Diversity
Kia Jarmon, an award-winning entrepreneur and communications strategist, founded MEPR Agency. At the core, she is a communicator and culture shifter, guiding organizations through the development of internal processes that lead to massive impact by way of trust, mutual investment and shared leadership. With years of experience working on many notable initiatives, she is most known for her innovative and disruptive communication programs- translating grasstops campaigns into actionable, grassroots initiatives. Kia’s commitment to the community and communications industry has attributed to recognition by the 100 Black Women of Nashville with the Susan Short Jones Emerging Leader award, among others.
LaTanya Channel: State of the State of Small Business in Tennessee
LaTanya Channel represents SBA as the Director of U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) Tennessee District Office. LaTanya came to the SBA in 2005, after having served at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Washington DC in management advisory roles on human resources, large scale agency reorganizations, and department-wide civil rights and EEO matters. Prior to joining the Tennessee District Office, LaTanya served as the Senior Advisor in SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Office and as the Chief of Certification for the HUBZone and Small Disadvantage Business (SDB) certification programs for government contracting – all at SBA’s Washington DC headquarters office.
Meredith Jones: Finance and Investing
Meredith Jones is an internationally recognized researcher, writer, blogger, speaker and expert in the alternative investment industry. She is the author of Women of The Street: Why Female Money Managers Generate Higher Returns (And How You Can Too), which won an Axiom Award gold medal in 2016. She has been a contributor to Institutional Investor magazine with a featured monthly column called “The Broadside” and is currently a contributor to MarketWatch. Her bi-weekly blog appears in a variety of media outlets as well. Meredith was named as an Inc. magazine’s “17 Inspiring Women To Watch in 2017” and as a Distinguished Author by the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2018. She serves on the Board of Directors for Rock the Street, Wall Street, a non-profit that provides financial and investment literacy programs to high school girls.
Dr. Tiffany Breeding: Wellness
Dr. Tiffany Breeding is an elite athlete, coach and trainer turned business entrepreneur who received her PhD in Health and Human Performance. She is a two-time published author, performance psychology consultant and fitness-nutrition specialist. Her custom- built programming combines the principles of peak performance, with everyday habit formation to guide individuals and executive teams to next level success. Through concierge coaching, deep dive goal setting and discussion with each individual or group, Dr. Tiff designs a protocol for achieving optimal personal and professional potential.
